Manager, Production Engineering

• Establish, plan and direct manufacturing engineering activities and priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors;

• Utilize proven lean manufacturing abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, work flow improvements, estimating, project analysis, technology development and core manufacturing skill set;

• Provide direction to and mentor senior-junior engineers, technicians and support staff; Support 8D, FMEA and DFM analysis and implementation of Kaizen activities;

• Work with Design Engineers to revise, and sustain HVAC product designs, utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles; provide manufacturing technical resource to Design Project teams;

• Develop and manage project schedules related to existing product launches or design modifications; Participate in Cost analyses, drawings interpretation/approvals, and engineering change requests;

• Assist in redesigning internal components to improve long term system quality, improve efficiency & reduce cost;

• Develop engineering solutions to product related issues through problem solving and root cause analysis techniques; Participate in cross-functional teams to launch product modifications, resolve issues, & support product improvements;

• Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget;

• Develop suppliers for manufacturing equipment, develop key suppliers, and create an environment of continuous improvement in equipment UPTIME,EFFICIENCY & QUALITY; Participate in additional projects to support ongoing business needs.
