Manager, Product Development & Analytics
As a key member of the Product Quantitative Analytics team, this position is responsible for providing analytical support on structured energy products such as GBP or FB. This includes the oversight of algorithms and calculation of demand forecast at customer level for millions of customers across multiple existing markets. The position is also accountable for leading cross-functional team to provide analytical support routinely. In addition, a major point of emphasis in this role will be developing new forecast models to support the company's initiative of offering and growing new Structured Products in expanding markets and thus bring tangible gains to the company. The position requires demonstrated capability of leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques to improve existing models and build new analytic solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities by Competency
Provide customer specific demand forecast timely and successfully to facilitate the continuous success of existing structured products
Lead cross-functional team to provide analytical support and visualized business insights to ensure the streamline process of renewing current and enrolling new customers
Build and implement model enhancement process to continuously improve the forecast and reporting accuracy
Provide demand forecast for FOM and YTG process in selected LDCs each month
Develop, back test and implement new analytical models by leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to support different company initiatives and strategies as requested
Develop and provide summary presentations to support commercial operation and financial planning
Support internal and external auditing on models and analytics tools
Demonstrate the excellent analytical and modeling skills and knowledge and the ability to apply them to business situations for value creation and operational integrity
Understand the importance of Data Analytics to the profitability of the company. Be committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data and able to make sound recommendations with limited data
Be able to prioritize and attend to critical details and accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects to meet business goals
Identify opportunities to meld existing data architecture with new ones as technology emerges and is adopted at the company
Open to new ideas and new techniques and leverage them to positively impact business decisions and empower end users with appropriate knowledge
Ability to establish effective work relationship with all levels of employees and customers
Build and lead informal cross-functional teams to develop modeling tools and analysis reports and present project status and results timely and accurately to appropriate audience
Demonstrate the ability to manage and mentor individuals. Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision required
Ability to gain alignment with different opinions and represent a common point of view across multiple stakeholders

Drive efficiencies through continuous process improvement without implementing undue complexity
Be proactive and anticipate the information others need to accomplish objectives
Related Work Experience:
5-10 years of applicable working experience in data analytics, preferably in the energy industry or finance industry
Minimum five years of experience involving modeling (regression, machine learning, validation)
Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Microsoft Access.
Extensive experience with statistical programming tools such as R, SPSS, SAS and Python
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and mentor individuals. Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
Strong business/financial acumen with a working knowledge and understanding of business operations and drivers.
Ability to conduct business analysis and design recommendations for presentation to senior leadership.
Demonstrates integrity and trust in all situations.
Ability to develop relationships and positively persuade others throughout the organization at all levels.
Creativity in solving unconventional problems, entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies
Demonstrated relationship management experience
Working knowledge of Power BI and Tableau software
