Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is currently seeking an individual with exceptional work behaviors and ambition to join our team as a Manager, Procurement/Sourcing - PLASTICS. Responsibilities:
Determine procurement strategies and develop sourcing plans for plastics category
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of procurement initiatives
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and terms
Develop and maintain supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and compliance regulations
Successfully implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in procurement/sourcing, specifically in the plastics category
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
This position is located in Houston, TX, USA. Other potential locations include Morrisville, NC or Pittsburgh, PA.
