Key Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Manager of Fruit & Vegetable Ingredient Procurement to support the Director of Fruit & Vegetable Ingredient Procurement to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the sourcing strategy (contracting, supply assurance, supplier quality) of $100 million of annual ingredients spending in support of TBG's North American businesses. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a candidate based in Bradenton, FL or Chicago, IL
Additional responsibilities include:
Support the Director of Fruit & Vegetable Ingredient Procurement in the development and execution of the annual operating plan for the NA Fruit and Vegetable sourcing (annual spend of $350 million)
Oversee the execution of the ingredient contracting strategy, development of new sourcing strategies, and an innovative productivity agenda
Manage and develop relationship with suppliers.
Monitor fruit and juice markets price, supply and quality
Work cross-functionally and implement productivity initiatives and support innovation projects
Develop RFP / RFQ processes with proper record to establish contracts.
Assist Chief Procurement Officer and peers on North American and European procurement teams in development of global sourcing strategies and best in class procurement execution
Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
Demonstrated ability to implement short- and long-term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in business or similar academic major
Minimum 5 years of beverage ingredient procurement, with a focus in fruit & vegetable ingredient experience
Experience in SAP or other ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications
Very good knowledge of fruit and vegetable value chain as well as the juice market.
Experience procuring commodities: futures markets, hedging, forecasting and risk management.
Supply Chain and logistics knowledge with understanding of incoterms.
Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
Process Oriented with analytical and strategic thinking.
Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
Experience with sustainability initiatives and social and environmental compliances
