Gain understanding of Pinnacle's current network and how M&OP is handled. Create strategic game plan for M&OP to include opportunities and gaps. Coordinate with and understand Enterprise Procurement, Operations, Sales & Operations Planning, Research & Innovation, Brand Management, Sales, Finance, CPS, Engineering and Logistics. Drive innovation, renovation, risk elimination, cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives across designated Pinnacle locations. Provide single point-of-contact for plants / co-packers to and from Enterprise Procurement. Partner with associates on projects and work streams as needs and priorities warrant.
Serve as the key Procurement champion to gain clear understanding of current process and opportunities. Understand and be part of new product and renovation projects working closely with S&OP, Marketing, Sales, R&I, Category Management and the Plant Procurement team to ensure supply of packaging and ingredients supporting all new product launches, understanding risk, identify and work to elevate potential DDD.
Work closely with Transportation Procurement, Enterprise Procurement, Platform Operations, Platform S&OP, Production Facilities/ Co-Packers, Marketing and Suppliers to identify and implement Cost Reductions opportunities.
Provide procurement representation on projects to ensure successful and on-time implementation.
Support assigned locations to identify and resolve material supply risks.
Forecast and mitigate obsolescence.
Drive consistency across plants as it relates to best practices in raw material procurement and supplier relationships.
Ensure effective implementation of Enterprise Procurement projects within assigned brands/plants (co-packers). Drive data gathering and risk/reward analysis on all purchasing bids and specification change initiatives. Proactively communicate new business activity to Enterprise Procurement to ensure competitive pricing for all new cost inputs.
Drive supplier performance and cost control initiatives for assigned brands/locations. Work with Category Managers and Suppliers to shorten material lead times and develop "innovation" focus.
Guide efforts with the Procurement team and Plant Procurement team to assure timely supply of packaging and ingredients and identify alternate specification opportunities where appropriate. Resolve supply risks as identified.
Play a key role in implementing, driving and streamlining the supply chain process across the organization. Focusing on plant level requirement system improvements where appropriate.
Additional duties as required.
Bachelor's degree is required; supply chain management coursework/certification is preferred.
5-7 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing roles preferred
Strength in the following skill sets: Verbal, written, analytical, and problem-solving.
Experienced in leveraging vendor relationships and achieving sizable cost savings from strategic cost reduction programs.
Develops strategies and takes them through implementation.
Understanding of economics, technical issues and ability to perform independent value analysis and value engineering

Travel required up to 25%
Overall operations/marketplace knowledge (Experience in more than one category is preferred)
Familiarity with e-procurement technologies and systems integration.
Demonstrated understanding of material requirements planning.
