Sauna 360 Inc. is looking for a Procurement Manager. Their responsibilities are the leadership, management, and coordination of procurement and overall supplier management. Drive to reduce the cost of purchased direct materials.

This position oversees the sourcing, selection, and qualification of new vendors. In addition, the Procurement Manager is responsible for supplier negotiations and Supplier Agreements and will manage the employees in the purchasing area and the logistics team.

  • Ensure that policies, plans, programs, and an organizational structure are in place to meet the company's procurement needs. Revise as needed to adapt to the changing business objectives and conditions.

  • Provide leadership and management support for direct reports. Recruit and train as required. Assign individual goals and objectives that support company objectives. Plan for and provide resources needed to support the Procurement function.

  • Drive efforts to minimize the total procurement cost and the inventory levels of direct materials through clear communication of expectations to suppliers, supplier selection, measurement, and supply chain management. A significant contributor to both cost reduction and inventory management efforts to meet company operating objectives.

  • Create, review, and modify supplier agreements and store agreements with Finance and Purchasing.

  • Manage the identification and qualification of new sources for existing components.

  • Monitor and manage Supplier performance.

  • Resolve vendor misunderstandings such as interpretation of supply agreements, delivery terms, or pricing issues.

  • Manage component price variances due to shifts in market conditions.

  • Assure that a realistic cost center budget is prepared for the annual budget development. Assure that the cost center stays within budgeted expense levels.

  • Coordinate Procurement's role on New Product Teams to ensure suitable vendors are appropriately qualified and enlisted.

  • Act as primary company liaison when addressing vendor discrepancies regarding delivery, invoicing, materials, tolerance conformance, etc.

  • Remain current with market conditions, trends, and Supplier capabilities.

  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

  • Performs other duties, such as purchasing commodities as needed, and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed-upon objectives.

Job Requirements

  • College degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • NAPM or APICS certification is a strong plus.

  • Five years of management experience in the Procurement/Supply Chain related field. Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Excellent analytical abilities. Functional understanding of manufacturing processes.
