The Pricing & Yield Management team at Pandora is looking for a Manager of Pricing & Yield to focus on our programmatic display, audio and video business. This role will support the organization by evaluating the profitability of Pandoras ad products, managing inventory/pricing controls and maximizing yield across Pandoras multiple ad platforms. The right individual will demonstrate the analytical prowess to develop innovative pricing mechanisms, drive operational efficiencies, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Interface with management at all levels of seniority to identify trends and drive initiatives related to pricing, inventory management and ad product development
Provide support to programmatic sales and operations around pricing, inventory management and reporting
Advocate programmatic value and partner with sales and other across the organization to grow processes and ensure efficient and scalable growth for the business
Employ in-depth understanding of ad functionality, availability/supply and demand, and delivery mechanism to establish market rate card and pricing of custom ad packages
Integrate pricing models and inventory segmentation into Order Management System
Evaluate profitability and conduct cost/benefit analysis of advertising deals and business partnerships
Create business and pricing rules based on market value, inventory supply/demand, targeting, price discrimination, etc
Analyze seller behavior to identify trends and optimize pricing
Develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, models, to support decision making
Forecast inventory availability, sell through, employing statistical analysis and modeling when needed
Collaborate with cross functional groups including ad ops, product, ad solutions, sales and finance to identify pricing and revenue opportunities
Create and maintain reporting, forecasting models, dashboards, etc related to all revenue channels
Develop and maintain inter-departmental processes for inventory allocation and approvals
Lead communication to inform management of sell through and yield trends, insights and opportunities
Provide proactive recommendations to drive monetization of various inventory segments in order to maximize revenue
Create intermediate to advanced data queries to compile and analyze relevant data
Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
Graduate degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics or other quantitative field preferred
5+ years of direct experience the area of quantitative business analysis
Experience with digital advertising and online publishers with multiple sales channels a plus
2-3 years of dedicated pricing, yield management and inventory management experience required
Ideal candidate is proactive and willing to work with minimal supervision
Experience working with PosgreSQL, mySQL or other database languages, including no-SQL architectures (Hadoop, HDFS, PIG) a plus
Power user of excel (VBA), Access
Knowledge of Salesforce, Operative Order Management, SAS or other business analytics software preferred
Excellent time management and attention detail a must
Comfortable in fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to present complex analysis to C-level executives
Basic knowledge of financial modeling
Experience with online advertising platforms (Doubleclick (DFP), Google Ad Exchange preferred
