Job Summary
We are seeking an engineering manager to lead LiveWire's power electronics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of industry-leading powertrain hardware which delivers an unparalleled electric motorcycle riding and ownership experience. Your team will develop electronics hardware from concept to production within the inverter, on-board charger, and high voltage battery in an agile systems focused engineering environment at our world-class product development facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Lead development of high-quality power electronics designs that achieve aggressive performance and cost goals
Develop scalable architecture for a range of powertrains and global market
Drive effective use of requirements development, design reviews, analysis, prototyping, and verification/validation activity
Lead technical issue resolution for development and production issues
Guide the creation and execution of efficient and effective product development schedules
Envision, communicate, and lead execution of a technology development roadmap
Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration with adjacent technical and business functions
Develop deep technical capabilities within your team, retaining and hiring top talent
Manage your team's priorities and take action to remove obstacles before impacting results
Education Requirements
Experience Requirements
10+ years of experience developing power electronics systems
Proven success leading teams to deliver high performing systems through all phases of product development
Detailed knowledge of advanced power electronics technologies and components
Broad experience with analog, digital, and mixed signal design for control of power systems
Extensive experience in EMI/EMC optimization and design
Deep understanding of electric vehicle components' underlying physics and functions
Demonstrated understanding of EV development & software integration
Experience working with mechanical teams to optimize thermal performance and packagin
Significant power electronics laboratory and/or electric motor dyno experience
Knowledge of data acquisition tools such as LabView, ATI Vision, and CANalyzer
Experience in root cause analysis and failure prevention (8D, 5-why)
Knowledge of UL, ISO/ECE, and/or GBT requirements including EMC
Experience applying ISO 26262 into product development
Pay Range: $116,550 - $223,740
The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
