We are hiring a Manager, PMO to lead our project managers and create a vision for building out this team during a time of exciting rapid growth within the company. In this role, you will: be a strong people manager inspiring the team to do their greatest work yet, develop a best practices PMO methodology for UserTesting, provide leadership on the strategic direction of the team in conjunction with our UX research counterparts and work cross-functionally with internal teams. The ideal candidate has: exceptional communication skills, a clear PMO methodology/POV, ability to drive action within ambiguity, customer focused mindset, knows how to juggle strategic initiatives while prioritizing tactical asks, sees the problem before it arises and has a can-do problem-solving mindset. This role reports directly to the VP, Professional Services.
Build out the PMO methodology within our Professional Services organization so that it consistently performs to the highest standards of excellence
Develop a project management function that works seamlessly across a matrix organization (product, sales and customer success) delivering world-class service aligned to customer goals and objectives
Coach and mentor the Project Management team, ensuring they have a clear professional development plan in getting to the next level in their careers
Work to ensure that Project Management best practices are standardized across projects in order to maintain delivery excellence in every project.
Creates our resource planning methodology: develops approach, trains team on how to accurate resource planning, report and manage utilization metrics
Work with project managers to ensure that all projects stay in scope, on schedule and course correct as needed when projects encounter issues.
Develop a methodology related to releasing Beta functionality to our customers including: develop business requirements documentation, timelines and next steps
Leads the recruitment and panel initiatives as it relates to scoping, vendor management, resource planning and long term vision.
Partner with research management counterparts in ensuring squad success
Ability to be customer facing to address concerns, ensure strong relationships are being established and an escalation point for any project management concerns.
Minimum 8 years of experience in customer facing, enterprise level project management in SaaS, digital agencies, or technology consulting
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a Project Management function within a customer facing organization in SaaS, digital agencies, or technology consulting
Background interacting with UX Research, recruitment/panel management or optimizing customers experiences a plus
Mastery in tracking, reporting and resource management using tools such as Clarizen, Wrike, Jira, Asana in a complex, fast-paced and resource driven environment
Demonstrated strong leadership skills; establish cooperative and accountable teams
Experience managing across geographically dispersed offices and a matrixed org
Strategic thinker, strong analytical, data-driven mindset & excellent communication skills
Proven ability to integrate processes to ensure project management team provides valuable and strategic support for the teams they support.
Strong understanding of working with product teams developing business requirements and managing integrations
Experience being nimble and proactive in supporting sales teams with selling and scoping project work
Project management certification (PMP) and /or formal coursework/training in project management strongly preferred.
