The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops products to protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD), the ZOLL cardiac monitor, and associated technologies.

Job Summary

Leads the manufacturing and service production for ZMC operations; accountable for safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective delivery of products. Develops exceptional teams and people leaders to achieve world class results. Drives cross-functional process improvement through collaboration with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, HR, and Regulatory teams. Supports long-term manufacturing, service, and new product introduction strategies while delivering daily production results.

Essential Functions

  • Uphold and drive team understanding, accountability, participation, and improvement for all safety policies, programs, and initiatives.

  • Lead and improve a daily management system to recognize outstanding performance & eliminate root cause issues affecting quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Spend significant time observing production processes and interacting with direct and skip level reports to monitor and improve adherence to quality system requirements & good manufacturing practices.

  • Ensure root cause analysis & corrective actions are delivered at the highest level and within quality system requirements for any audit findings or product non-conformity situations.

  • Collaborate with operations planning and finance teams to establish budget & forecast production, inventory, capital, expense, and staffing plans; executing plans to meet company needs.

  • Urgently justify and obtain appropriate personnel and capital resources to meet production targets.

  • Identify and lead cost and efficiency improvements to meet financial objectives.

  • Coach supervisors for performance and leadership development.

  • Ensure robust development & succession planning processes are deployed and maintained to support front line production team members and leads

  • Establish and coach achievement of annual production objectives; facilitating the deployment and aligned engagement of all team members

  • Manage staff performance while also creating a challenging and enjoyable work environment.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and HR, to resolve people issues, improve employee engagement, and ensure robust communication and collaboration within & across management and production teams.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • B.S. Degree in a relevant management or engineering field. An advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment, with 7+ years in a managerial role.

  • Strong track record of delivering results through other people, to include examples of coaching, mentoring, developing, and managing performance.   • Effective communication - someone who can interpret information clearly and accurately to concisely communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders, senior management, and their teams.

  • Demonstrated success in navigating a sometimes-ambiguous environment to create substantial value.
