TITLE

Manager, Plant Financial Services

LOCATION

Orrville, OH (Close proximity to the Cleveland area)

REPORTS TO

Senior Manager, Plant Financial Services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by Analyst/Senior Analyst Plant Financial Services

  • Provide leadership to the Plant Financial Services Group to ensure continued professional development and technical skills

  • Prepare reports and supporting analysis to aid in management decisions (reporting package)

  • Review and analysis of monthly manufacturing variances

  • Review and analysis of monthly cost center variances

  • Participate and/or manage department resources in plant inventories and cycle counts, as needed

  • Coordination on cost metrics with the plant managers to drive cost improvements and identify opportunities for labor efficiency

  • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the factory budget with plant manager

  • Work with team members to develop new product costing in accordance with costing standards.

  • Facilitate annual plant standard reviews

  • Provide KPI analysis for monthly financial review

  • Support close as needed to achieve a 3 to 4 day close

  • Review plant presentations prepared by department analyst on a monthly/quarterly basis

  • Work with external auditors on quarterly and annual audits

  • Assure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies for assigned responsibilities

  • Assist with management of internal controls (plants)

  • Assist Project Services group related to budget analysis, project summaries or IO support

  • Assist on key priorities and initiatives

  • Identify areas of improvements and standardization

  • Participate in projects

  • Travel to coffee plants (roughly 20% of work schedule)

  • Direct supervision of two employees (analyst level)

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is required

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Other

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of work schedule is required

Qualifications * 5 to 7 years of recent public accounting external audit experience. * Your background should have experience in financial institutions or financial services external audit of both public and private companies or financial institutions regulatory experience.
