The consolidated organization owns and leases community hospitals that offer quality, cost-effective healthcare including a range of inpatient medical and surgical services, outpatient treatment and skilled nursing care. In over 60 percent of the markets served, CHS-affiliated hospitals are the sole provider of healthcare services. CHSPSC, LLC seeks a PFS Manager for its Franklin, TN, headquarters PFS team.

The position will be corporate office-based and may require minimal travel Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the DRG transfer project and Medicare 3 Day Payment Window project. Run reports to monitor and report results to CHS management and Divisions Monitor and QA DRG transfer project to ensure compliance adheres with CMS regulations Provide training and education as necessary Oversee PFS audit team, gathering results for reporting on facilities/SSCs for specific projects. Projects may include review of Government overpayments, Credit balance audits, POS audits, etc.

Assist with pulling and review of claims and reporting as required for other audits within CHS such as Compliance, HIIM, Internal Audit, Revenue management, etc.

Assist Sr Director with any other projects/audits as assigned

Possess strong analytical skills. Must possess very strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills including all Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint). Must be able to work independently in a manner to achieve goals, objectives and productivity.

Experience with Med Host,and Meditech Health Information Systems is desired. Education and Experience: College degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years working in a hospital business office environment preferred. Previous management experience required

CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Vascular PFS Specialist for its Franklin, TN, headquarters’ PFS team. SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Vascular PFS, the Vascular PFS Specialist supports corporate-wide revenue integrity of clinical charges and procedure coding for Cardiovascular, Interventional Vascular and Percutaneous Radiology (VASCULAR) patient services. The position is responsible for communicating directly with hospital clinical staff, medical coders, physicians, PFS-Revenue Integrity staff and other ancillary personnel to expedite the reporting of consistent and compliant charges and procedure codes for VASCULAR patient services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serves as a pivotal collaborative member of the Vascular PFS team and its objective to enhance the consistency and efficiency of charge capture, claims processing and appropriate reimbursement for VACSCULAR services. 2. Performs detailed audits and operational analysis of individual hospitals to discover opportunities and recommend strategies to enhance the effectiveness, compliance and accuracy of their existing charge capture, procedure coding, clinical documentation and/or system interfaces. 3. Staffs the Vascular PFS ‘hotline’ and provides clinical staff, coders and other ancillary personnel with timely email or telephonic charge selection, procedure coding and claims processing assistance and guidance. 4. Notifies department leadership regarding identified VASCULAR service patterns and trends that encumber charge capture processes and identifies solutions to address the encumbrance and increase effectiveness and efficiency. 5. Facilitates the implementation of charge capture mechanisms to hospitals preparing to expand their clinical VASCULAR services, by offering standardized CDM charge sets, charge selection job aides, system interface mapping and/or arranging for staff education. 6. Maintains a current knowledge of the official guidelines and regulations for VASCULAR charge capture, procedure coding and Medicare reimbursement systems and utilizes that knowledge to assist in resolving charge issues and reconciling account billing issues. 7. In collaboration with the Vascular PFS team, creates written and electronic educational curriculums and materials related to all aspects of VASCULAR charge capture, coding, billing and reimbursement, including newsletters, reference books, uniform charge sets and charge selection job aides. 8. Coordinates and presents clinical staff, medical coder and physician charge capture and procedure coding education, such as live seminars, web-conferences casts and a variety of other media sources. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Health Sciences is required. Masters’ degree in Business, Healthcare or Health Sciences is preferred. 2. Requires a minimum of five years (5) of experience in either charging for VASCULAR procedures or cardiovascular medical coding. Electrophysiology clinical charging experience is preferred. 3. Required to have five (5) years of clinical experience in performing Cardiovascular or Interventional Vascular procedures or three (3) years of experience as a cardiovascular and electrophysiology medical coder. 4. Must obtain one of the following certifications within six months of employment; Radiology Certified Coder (RCC), Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). 5. Strong organizational skills, attention to details, self-directed, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time, and complete assignments independently with little or no supervision. 6. An outstanding level of verbal and written communication as well as public speaking/teaching skills are required 7. Requires critical thinking, collaborative character, problem solving and deductive reasoning skills. 8. Advanced computer skills – Windows based programs, clinical information systems and billing systems.
