The ideal candidate for the Manager, Perioperative Materials Utilization will have a Bachelor's degree and five years professional clinical experience in materials management to include three years in management. Will work in the Perioperative Services Department.

SALARY RANGE

Minimum $69,600 Midpoint $87,000 Maximum $104,400

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Management

Oversees all aspects of POS Materials Management logistics for the main operating rooms and ambulatory operating rooms to including the ordering, receiving, inventory par level replenishment process, procedure base case cart system, orderly work area, EPIC stock dictionary, product safety alerts and recalls; and supervision of the staff while adhering to department policies and procedures. Responsible for functioning as a resource with Supply chain Management and POS.

Manages reviewing and requisitioning of all new supplies and capital equipment purchases. Manages and enforces the healthcare representative's guidelines and access. Responsible for annual year-end supply cycle count process and accuracy.

Value Analysis

Value Analysis; facilitates the systematic POS Value Analysis team process to include preparing incoming request to be presented for approval; coordinates product evaluations, conducts financial assessments, prepares agenda and implements and monitors approved request.

Resources

Personnel Management; manages POS Materials staff including all aspects of the candidate selection process, orientation, coaching/counseling, continuing education and staff in services, scheduling, productivity requirements, and continuous staffing needs /quarterly updates on supply expenses, identifies and implements opportunities for cost reduction and expense control. Monitors the department's quality assurance, safety of the environment, infection control, and performance improvement. Participate in at least two process performance initiatives.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in health care related field

EXPERIENCE

Required: Five years professional clinical experience in materials management to include three years in management. May substitute required degree for years of experience on a one to one basis.
