As a Manager Payroll on the Corporate HR Systems and Control team, you'll provide leadership to the Payroll organization, including a staff of fifteen employees and supervisors of the Payroll Operations and Payroll Tax teams. You'll manage the payroll process for all of Progressive's employees ensuring that the preparation, documentation, disbursements and wage reporting of all wage and salary distribution is accurate and follows all federal, state, and local mandated regulations. Additionally, you'll be responsible for employment decisions, performance management, compensation and reward planning, employee development and monitoring the department budget.

This is a hybrid role to be based in Mayfield Village, OH.

Must-have qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 8 years of payroll experience, at least 2 years of which in leadership (i.e. directly managing or mentoring/coaching).
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business Management and a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, at least 2 years of which in leadership (i.e. directly managing or mentoring/coaching).

Preferred skills

  • Strong knowledge of Workday payroll functionality

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing other leaders, developing organizational objectives and advancing staff capabilities

Compensation

  • $93,200 - $124,300/year depending on position level and experience

  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
