Position Summary: Responsible for the development of the Payroll processing team within the Global Business Services organization. Oversight of activities related to the payroll tax compliance, payroll accounting, and payroll processing for all U.S., International and Canadian employees. Provides supervision and development of approximately 4 staff - exempt and nonexempt.

Responsibilities:

General Payroll Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Team Lead, Payroll Processing to support payroll calculation and processing activities as it relates to overall payroll activities

• Ensure compliance with all payroll tax laws, regulations and deductions

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of normal cycle payroll, reconciliations and audit activities

• Oversee Processing of International payrolls for Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Switzerland, and Barbados

• Oversee processing and reconciling of expatriate shadow entries, as it's a more complex payroll tax item

• Perform, assist and/or oversee additional ad-hoc general payroll responsibilities in support of the end-to-end payroll process such as completion of tax processing, amendments, and remittances, unclaimed property, and cash flow forecasting.

• Review all payroll related journal entries in SAP

• Review all reconciliations in Blackline, and determine accrual adjustments as required

• Oversee Daily processing of cash funding activities related to net pays, taxes, and 401k

• Recommend process improvements and control procedures including continuous documentation of processes and controls

• Oversee the Review and audit of G/L mapping and Integrations between Workday and SAP and make updates where and when necessary

• Develop and maintain process documentation, policies and procedures related to all aspects of Payroll tax and accounting processing.

• Assist in the maintenance of controls over accounting systems and records maintenance involved in the payroll function to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and document retention policies

• Support all Payroll responsibilities required for period close, including G/L postings and reconciliations as required

• Support and assist with the resolution of payroll tax and accounting inquiries

Period End Support

• Prepare Payroll reporting, investigation and resolution as required , including 401K true-up, profit sharing, eligible earnings, and bonus eligible earnings reporting and analysis

• Provide both internal and external audit support

• Assist with preparation of ongoing tax reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and annual)

Metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Responsible for meeting department requirements as defined in the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

• Assist with relationship management as liaison to HR, Comp/Benefits teams, Accounting/Finance as needed

• Support customer service initiatives

• Support and assist with continuous improvement of the Payroll Services Team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent required

• CPP and/or CPA certification strongly preferred

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory

• 3-5 years of experience in relevant payroll experience with supervisory experience required; Canadian and Multi-State payroll experience preferred

• Proven problem solving skills and ability to make decisions

• Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software; experience with SAP and Workday preferred

• Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written)

• Ability to travel 0-10%

The salary range for this role is:

$84,900.00 - $130,000.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
