Summary:

The Manager, Payer Analytics is an individual contributor role that serves as an advisor to internal customers within the commercial organization. The primary objective of the role is to deliver critical insights and Analytics that support decision making in the areas of Market Access, Strategic Account Management, Payer Marketing, Contracting & Pricing, both for in line and pre-commercial products.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary business advisor, consulting and managing the day-to-day relationship and projects with Market Access & Reimbursement leadership, Network Analytics, brand teams and sales management stakeholders for assigned brand(s)

  • Continually match business insight needs with analytical solutions and use tools to track, report, and analyze trends, performance and outlook for Market Access services and solutions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, build, evolve and administer brand-tuned monthly business reviews to Market Access and reimbursement leadership, Network Analytics and brand stakeholders.

  • Utilize KPIs and other performance diagnostics/dashboards (Market Access landscape and market share, contract performance with a focus on pull through, number of covered lives, etc.) to provide weekly/monthly/quarterly updates.

  • Analyze HCP prescribing trends within and across a wide range of managed care plan and payer structures, including government payers, integrated care, accountable care organizations, etc. and provide evidence-based recommendations.

  • Provide insights by leveraging knowledge of Market Access landscape, monitoring market share and access-driven performance.

  • Support ad-hoc queries and data-mined analyses pertaining to managed market opportunities and assess impact of channel mix on overall brand performance.

  • Ability to assist Analytics team with key payer analytics initiatives such as payer segmentation, forecasting and revenue risk assessment, and optimization.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, alliance partners and vendors to coordinate cross-functional analysis and data acquisition.

  • Continually update knowledge of industry data sources and techniques to improve Regeneron's commercial analysis.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA required. Advanced degree in quantitative subject (e.g. Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics) preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive related industry experience with 3 years of pharmaceutical or commercial products analytical experience in a commercial operations setting; 1 or more years of managed markets/payer analytics experience highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with use of commercial business intelligence tools for report creation e.g.: QlikView, Tableau, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire) a plus.

  • Some experience using secondary subnational prescription and sales data. Experience with longitudinal patient, specialty pharmacy/ hub data preferred, but not required.

  • Prior exposure with Managed Care data sources (IMS Xponent Plantrak, DDD, HCOS) and Claims data (Optum, Truven, Prescriber/Payer, MMIT, etc.) preferred.

  • Experience with mainstream Pharma databases (IMS Xponent, Symphony, NPA Audit) required.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

  • Basic presentation skills to take sophisticated analysis and apply a business context for non-analytical associates required

Summary: The Sr. Manager role within Advanced Analytics is an individual contributor role that serves as an advisor to internal customers from sales and marketing. The primary objective of the role is to consult and deliver analytics that support strategic and tactical decision making in the areas of sales force and marketing effectiveness, both for in line and pre-commercial products. Responsibilities: * As the primary business advisor, consult and manage the day-to-day relationship and projects with sales leadership, brand teams and market access stakeholders for assigned brand(s). * Continually match business insight needs with analytical solutions and use tools to track, report, and analyze marketing and sales information. * Build, evolve and administer brand-tuned monthly business reviews to assigned brand stakeholders. * Consult sales & marketing by performing ad-hoc, data-mined analyses. * Develop proactive data-mined analyses to uncover actionable insights and business opportunities. * Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate cross-functional analysis and data acquisition. * Consult with marketing and liaise with modelers to design and measure commercial mix models for both personal and non-personal promotion. * Engage with sales & marketing and liaise with modelers to design and measure promotion response analyses and models to provide insights and recommendations that optimize targeting and sampling for different customer segments. * With modelers, co-construct customer segmentation to support brand strategy, including patient profiles and other behavioral analysis. * Continually update knowledge of industry data sources & techniques that could be used to improve Regeneron's commercial analysis. Requirements: BS/BA required. Advanced degree in quantitative subject (e.g. Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics) preferred * Minimum 5 years analytical experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries with a total of 8-10 years' of progressive related industry experience. * Commercial business intelligence tool report creation experience required (any, but e.g.: QlikView, Tableau, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire). * SAS code-writing skills (BASE, STAT, SQL, Macros) preferred, SQL query-writing preferred. * In-depth knowledge and data mining experience using secondary subnational prescription and sales data.
