- Integrates the department's services with the hospital primary functions including proactively identifying and responding to issues confronting the department, including patient complaints and operational issues.
2.Coordinates and integrates services within Patient Registration and with other departments to promote cross training and personal development of staff through innovative training programs.
3.Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of Patient Registration services. Provide instructions, communication and understanding of all hospital registration related departmental policies and procedures for both Bixby and Herrick hospitals.
4.Develop, maintain and distribute revenue cycle related bulletins, references, guides and such other materials.
5.Responsible to develop and manage staff work schedule to meet operation needs. Ensure payroll is completed timely and accurately.
6.Assesses and improves continuously the Patient Registration Department's performance. Maintains appropriate quality control programs meeting with staff monthly to communicate, recognize and address performance standards.
7.Responsible for hiring capable and energetic staff.
8.Training of staff including orientation, inservice training and continuing education. Manage or assist with, as need dictates, Quality Assurance and Training education programs across all areas of responsibility; participate in the design of additional QA Training education programs to address specific departmental needs and monitor for quantifiable impact.
9.Responsible for managing the department's employee relation issues and follows human resource policy guidelines related to processing disciplinary action up to and including termination.
- Respond timely to requests for information for reports, records, statistics, operations, procedures and policies
Develop and manage the department annual operating budget process.
11. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed. This includes assisting with the establishment of departmental and individual goals along with tracking progress of these established goals.
1.Bachelor's degree in business management, finance or healthcare administration preferred.
2.3-5 years of supervisory/managerial experience preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience with the centers of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations along with a thorough understanding of HIPAA rules & regulations.
