Position Summary

The Manager, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Security & Network Transformation Program will oversee the organizational change management portfolio, resources, and team to support the UCLA IT Security and Network (SAN) Transformation efforts for the campus enterprise. The Manager, OCM will coordinate change activities across UCLA's SAN team and provides an understanding of the benefits and risks around the rollout of new tools, technologies, experiences, and opportunities.

The Manager, OCM will guide the team to establish a standard change management methodology encompassing processes, activities, tools, KPIs, and reporting strategies. This role will execute UCLA's vision while championing the university's culture and values.

The Manager, OCM will be responsible for developing the OCM strategy and approach, leveraging input from the functional and technical team, as well as other stakeholders. They will guide the OCM team in managing and executing strategies and build detailed OCM work plans for communications, training, and organization activities; will work closely with the Program Management Office, Communications Analysts, and Training Lead.

The Manager, OCM will oversee the team and all associated work relative to communications, training, and OCM-related activities. They will design and monitor stakeholder engagement plans through stakeholder assessments, assess change impacts and define appropriate change actions. They will drive organizational change utilizing appropriate communication vehicles such as town halls, survey tools, and focus groups; partner across the university to provide thought leadership and change management guidance that enables organizational readiness and execution towards sustained transformational change; maintain currency with industry standards, best practices, and trends in higher education; lead continual improvements efforts to increase the effectiveness of change activities; define and execute change readiness assessments; support the design and build of hyper-care and sustainability strategy; contribute to an inclusive environment by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and leaders; manage team member development, helping them set and achieve goals for their career growth.

Salary & Compensation

Qualifications

5+ years Communications, marketing, information technology, or higher education. (Required) 2+ years Experience leading teams in a management or leadership role, particularly in fast-paced, service-oriented environment. (Required) Experience supporting customer needs and articulating a strategy that motivates others to action. (Required) Experienced in supporting customer needs and articulating a strategy that motivates others to action. (Required) Experience developing and implementing information security training and awareness curriculums. (Preferred) Experience working within Higher Education Information Technology. (Preferred) Demonstrated expertise in delivering organizational change management services including methodologies, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship alignment, communication strategy and delivery, training and development and organizational readiness. (Required) Demonstrated experience in building and managing exceptional teams and providing consistent feedback to achieve results in line with strategic goals; skilled hiring/recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development. (Required) Exceptional communication skills including writing, copyediting, presentation, and session facilitation. (Required) Proven track record of building strong collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders to achieve results in line with strategic goals. (Required) Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously. (Required) Ability to synthesize complex materials and craft creative, persuasive messaging for a variety of audiences. (Required) Ability to manage necessary resources to resolve problems in a timely and effective manner. (Required) Possess the verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization; ability to use standard English grammar and punctuation. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree Communications, marketing, information technology, or higher education, or equivalent experience. (Required) Other Type of Degree Advanced degree in Organizational Development or Business Administration. (Preferred) PROSCI, ACMP or other change management certification. (Preferred) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP), or equivalent certification. (Preferred)
