Overview

Traffic management for logistics and artwork projects, working with Client Service Teams on various fulfillment and supply requirements as well as sourcing and pricing. Works with Fulfillment Centers managing inventory, negotiating and maintaining lowest prices and creating efficiencies to keep costs low and maintain margins. Works with print production companies to ensure flawless communication and delivery.

The Logistics department is responsible for assuring accurate delivery, distribution and collection of materials and supplies used for in-store engagements to third party agencies and PromoWorks Engagement Specialists.

The Manager of Operations Logistics is responsible for managing the Logistics department of PromoWorks. This position requires extensive interaction with external clients and vendors, as well as internal client service and operations functions of the business. The Operations Manager Logistics coordinates all aspects including procurement of materials from customers or third-party vendors, providing program specifications to contracted fulfillment centers and ensuring delivery of the program kit to the field.

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor fulfillment and print vendor KPIs to insure compliance with PromoWorks objectives

  • Manage expenses to meet expected margins

  • Ensure timelines are meant for weekly print jobs

  • Work with Client Service Manager on any print/production related needs

  • Review project orders for any issues or discrepancies

  • Establish controls to insure calculations of pricing are performed in accordance with company performance goals

  • Maintain rate cards as used by Activation and Operations team relating to Logistics

  • Oversee day to day LM tasks, to guide new struggles and encourage team members to bring questions or new situations

  • Meet weekly with both fulfillment centers and address high level issues overall pricing, inventory, process issues, etc.

  • Monitor and ensure purchases are made for general inventory items to maintain availability for Webstore, retail & national programs

  • Approve invoicing from vendors

  • Research and solve issues

  • Quote custom POS and fulfillment for specialty programs for retail and national events

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Minimum two years' experience

Responsibilities * Consult with internal departments to determine objectives and requirements for client programs. * Monitor materials and supply progress ensuring timelines are met; adjust accordingly per changes * Reconcile programs at the end of each program, including coordinating the disposition of inventory * Contact fulfillment service companies to gain the best quote for customer (RFP) * Determine the appropriate carrier for transportation of kits to the assigned locations * Manage materials and supply inventory to ensure inventory is available and used for each program * Determine materials and supply specifications for assigned client programs * Contract fulfillment services for each program to receive, kit, label and ship demonstration kits * Purchase materials and supplies from approved vendors and schedule shipment to fulfillment center * Coordinate the required customer materials and supplies to fulfillment center Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
