Job Description
In this role, the Manager, Operational Excellence will support execution in improvement of operational planning, reporting, and performance measurement for Village Medical in Houston, TX. In this role, we are looking for a service-minded and detail-oriented individual who will serve as a critical resource in supporting strategic projects and initiatives with senior management in executing business strategies.

This person will build strong cross-functional relationships with internal departments to drive implementation of business strategies, which will require the individual to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership, and accountability to stakeholders across the organization. We are looking for a hands-on individual who will support large scale strategic projects across the Village Medical system. You'll need to demonstrate the ability to inform and influence market leadership by developing and nurturing strong relationships that result in execution.
How you can make a difference:
Facilitate creation of project plans that support timely implementation of strategic projects.
Work closely with stakeholders to complete risk analysis and needs assessments; identify sources of resistance and create plan to successfully implement change.
Project management for large scale strategic planning processes including process enhancement, implementation and driving to completion.
Lead change and execution on business objectives.
Document and analyze processes to identify areas of waste, design the most efficient path to success andsupportthe implementation of the organization's strategic plans and objectives
Lead the discovery and definition of process improvement opportunities and create KPIs/metrics for functional areas
Maintaining key meeting takeaways and ensuring action steps and required follow-ups are completed
Come from a place of "yes" and "we" to balance delivery of centralized programmatic changes and nuances within local markets to ensure results are valued at the market level and relevant to greater business needs
Develop and maintain appropriate tools and establish reports, scorecards, and/or key metrics to provide visibility on milestone progress; including planning and managing business optimization meetings

Experience developing collaborative solutions and building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Experience to drive change:
Bachelor's Degree required, healthcare or business focus preferred
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
5+ years of relevant, progressive operations experience; ideally a background that has used financial and other data to drive operational reporting and discipline
Strong financial and data analytics acumen; operational in nature but with technical knowledge of systems and concepts and can liaise between data and operations
Prior project management experience; Lean or other project management certification preferred
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and pivot between competing priorities
Proven experience operating successfully within ambiguity; a results-oriented professional who can make sense of chaos to continually deliver desired results
A flexible mindset and personality; someone who can demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and formulate creative solutions
Excellent interpersonal communication, a high attention to detail, and critical problem-solving skills to garner credibility and develop strong relationships
Ideally located in a Village Medical market, with the ability to travel within market, or other markets, as needed, up to 50% of time
For Colorado Residents only: This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $160,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
