Job Summary:

The Quality Review team will be responsible for auditing the quality and efficiency of the platform accounting team. The team will be responsible for testing and compliance with policies, procedures and workflows and identifying areas of improvement and effectiveness in operational accounting processes.

Acrisure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Review Manager. The Quality Review Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliant, effective, and efficient accounting operation processes and execution across the Acrisure Business Services accounting team. As a leading provider of insurance services, we provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with our partners. As a manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the quality review team and related projects. This includes overseeing the team's workload to complete daily tasks, technical trainings, and skills development. Also performs regular 1:1s, annual check-ins and performance reviews. Oversight of this team includes assessing its strengths and weaknesses, determining capacity restraints and hiring recommendations as needed. Collaborates on continuous improvement initiatives and executes highly complex accounting related projects. This includes ensuring all duties of the team are completed accurately and timely. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance industry practices, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills.

The ideal candidate must be hands-on, have excellent organizational skillset and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are a relationship-oriented business, and strong relationship and partnering skills are vital to this role. Previous leadership experience in accounting is required. Experience in the insurance brokerage or a related industry is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and Lead the Quality review team.

  • Develop and implement the Quality Review process.

  • Perform analysis of the transactions by platform for a designated period of time

  • Identify the selection of transactions to be tested.

  • Coordinate and schedule the testing.

  • Manage the quality assurance reviews of team members ensuring the team is conducting thorough quality assessments of the individual outputs.

  • Create Quality Control metrics to monitor and assess progress and quality of the review.

  • Create output metrics of results for leadership.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews of platform accounting team members compliance with Acrisure's accounting policies and procedures.

  • Identifies potential financial risks and raises these issues, along with suggested solutions, to director.

  • Follows up on projects and team assignments and holds others accountable for their internal deadlines and administrative responsibilities.

  • Sets clear deadlines and priorities for team to meet goals and expectations set by director

  • Encourages cross functional acumen by having strong understanding of the agency partners operations.

  • Strong understanding of the platform accounting best practices and service level agreements.

  • Strong understanding of the corporate and finance accounting process.

  • General understanding of other corporate services (i.e., payroll, benefits, regulatory affairs, marketing, communications, legal, etc.)

  • Regularly communicates and collaborates with team, peers, leaders on best practices and standard work while escalating issues and concerns to appropriate management level.

  • Delivers holistic feedback to others about their job performance and career growth; coaches others to help them develop their careers.

  • Identifies staffing needs and allocates resources accordingly to meet current and future metric targets.

  • Works to solve problems brought to their attention.

  • Takes responsibility for outcomes and results.

  • Regularly seeks and accepts feedback given by others.

  • Available and responsive to Acrisure Partner and internal staff questions.

  • Delivers sensitive messages with diplomacy and tact.

  • Builds new relationships and maintains existing relationships with Acrisure personnel and Acrisure Partners.

  • Stay up-to-date and in compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Implementing and maintaining procedures and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum (4) four years of experience in accounting, including receivable and payable experience

  • Audit experience preferred.

  • Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background preferred.

  • Excellent knowledge of both operational and financial accounting.

  • A working knowledge of insurance-based management system Applied Epic is required.

  • A working knowledge of other insurance-based management systems such as AMS360 and Applied TAM) is highly desired.

  • A working knowledge of Workday software is preferred.
