Job Description
Summary/objective
The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals within the facility and the facility itself. The MOD will collaborate with and encourage teamwork among all team members to ensure a safe and friendly environment. In the absence of the General Manager, this role may assume management duties.
Essential functions

Provide strong leadership with excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
Deliver outstanding service to our members, guests, and fellow team members
Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations or unusual circumstances
Support and handle team and member issues; make decisions in consideration of the club's policies and procedures
Review daily reports before start of each shift
Be prepared to perform any of the following: check on each department to assess any special needs; implement effective risk management practices to manage leaks, spills, equipment malfunction; practice "first in/last out" security measures to lock down and alarm the facility; ensure each department is adequately staffed; monitor each department's needs with regular rotations through the facility; carry a walkie-talkie and respond promptly when called; monitor the sauna and steam rooms on a regular basis; ensure opening and closing procedures and reports are followed and completed by each department; exhibit willingness to step in to assist any team member in any department
Able to tour the facility to guests and prospective members with the intent to sell memberships
Keep team and members informed of events and activities and encourage participation
Requirements
Physical demands
Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in and during high stress situations
Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Required competencies, education, and experience
High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience leading or supervising teams highly preferred
Must exhibit a high degree of dependability and adaptability
Superior customer service and communication skills
Must be willing to learn and work within different departments/areas
Must be at least 18 years old

Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean
Assist with Service Days
Willingness to assist with acac programs, special events, or activities outside your department

Exhibit a positive attitude at all times
Deliver outstanding service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, a pleasant demeanor at all times
