Western Colorado University invites applications for the full time position of Manager of University Center Operations. The position reports to the Director of University Center Operations.
Duties: The Manager of University Center Operations will assist the Director in providing leadership and supervision in the University Center Operations department.
The Manager is responsible for daily office management, which includes requistion/purchasing processes, fiscal management, client relationships and events management. The manager oversees the planning, scheduling, staffing and coordination of all meeting spaces and events in the University Center. The Manager is responsible for the training and supervision of the student work study staff. The Manager will also be involved in programs and assesment within Student Affairs.
Bachelor's degree. Computing skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail, and Internet browsers. Ability to work with a wide diversity of people, excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Prefer experience in a higher education work environment.
Experience with event management software. Technical skills in AV equipment and setups.
Additional Application Information: Compensation: Salary is $34,000 per year. Position is eligible for an excellent benefits package including health and dental insurance plans with low co-pays and low out of pocket maximums, generous paid time off, a shared contribution retirement plan and tuition benefits.
