The Opportunity

Reporting to the EVP CHESI Sales & Service, the Manager of Total Project Management, known internally as Manager Project 3, will be responsible for growing Total Project Management (TPM) revenue for Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. (CHESI) Field Services (FS) and Technical Services (TS), as well as growing revenue for Safety-Kleen (SKE) lube oil, parts washers, and used motor oil (UMO). This will involve working closely with the SKE and CHESI sales team to create cross-selling strategies and tactics to remove barriers to grow the business. This position has some flexibility on location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner

  • Manage both US and Canada TPM growth across the entire geography

  • Develop, review, and drive KPIs/Metrics

  • Ensure balance across pillars (TS/FS)

  • Work with FS NPL Senior VP on growth strategies

  • Work with TS NPL Senior VP on growth strategies and add CleanPack Chemists to SKE Branches

  • Drive for more quotes - use Central Quoting for TS as much as possible

  • Increase use of Harbor Quotes

  • Create links between CHESI and SKE reps (AMs and Specialists)

  • Train SKE on correct CHESI branches to use

  • Work with Pricing team on strategies to enhance margin and revenue within TPM

  • Help understand SKE TPM budgets from year to year-improve visibility to growth year over year

  • Work with CHESI branches to reduce TPM response time (quote and service delivery)

  • Raise issues to Operations leadership where we are understaffed in specific branches and consistently unable to perform within 72 hours when awarded work

  • Recommend and implement ownership rules from CHESI to SKE and reverse

  • Develop processes around large CWS opportunities with SKE and quote/execution ownership for SKE or CHESI

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related technical industrial desired

  • 5 years of management experience

  • Hands-on, immersed into the details, roll up your sleeves, collaborative

  • Proactive, customer services oriented, experience working with long-term customers

  • Ability to create direction for the whole operational organization; develop formal programs ability to leverage sophisticated numerical analyses to drive decision making

  • Waste Industry and company knowledge, selling and negotiation, relationship building

  • Communication, leadership and team building, operational improvements and delivery

  • Strong business analysis skills combined with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative

  • Superior leadership and people management skills, ability to build a team and influence others in matrix organization

  • 20% - 50% travel required
