This position will be responsible for working with customers and leading the sales team to drive revenue within the Corrections market, focused on specific products and security solutions while developing the Sales Engineers and maximizing customer satisfaction. The Manager of Sales & Business Development will be tasked with contacting architects, security consults, and end users to provide education and demonstrations of Stanley's products. The incumbent will work closely with the General Manager and the Sales Engineers to generate new business activity and maintain current customer relationships. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives or activities at the same time.
This position will work closely with the General Manager, Service Manager, Project Engineering Managers, Sales Team Members, Management, Architects, General Contractors, and other Customers.
Work with existing customers to educate them on new technologies
Provide software demonstrations to security consultants, architects, and owners
Attend key trade shows as an exhibitor
Grow existing customer base by identifying key opportunities and establishing relationships within the vertical market
Visit existing customers to review current systems and future needs
Facilitate meetings between customers, sales and 3rd party vendors to coordinate solutions
Attend industry related conferences with the possibility of giving presentations
Communicate market conditions and potential new products to management
Coordinate with marketing department to identify additional marketing opportunities
Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
Stay up to date on current industry news and competitors
Manage all aspects of the Sales Engineering Team
Coach and mentor each Sales Engineer
Coordinate activities of the Sales Engineers to prevent overlap
Ensure the success of the marketing plan through directed team sales efforts
Set and manage team expectations
Conduct customer follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction
Maintain current technical product-related knowledge and general sales techniques and trends
Prepare weekly, monthly summaries of important trends for management
Perform all work in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, and standards
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred
Background in selling and providing solutions to Correctional customer preferred
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with an ability to determine solutions for customers
Demonstrated initiative, a proven sales record and ability to negotiate within standard guidelines
Demonstrated ability to develop and exceed a monthly, quarterly, annual sales plan
Ability to communicate with high level employees within organizations
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Customer focus and a strong commitment to client satisfaction
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel throughout the US. Travel estimated at 60% of the time
