Primary

Responsibilities:
Each Manager of Program Services reports directly to the Regional Director of Client Services. Each Manager of Program Services will work as a quality assurance liaison with Client(s), families, guardians, advocates, case managers, Direct Support Professionals (DSP), other service providers and community resources to create a cohesive support team for the success of each Client. Each Manager of Program Services will have a specific caseload, specialized assignments and be assigned to a specific area of the state. Each Manager of Program Services will also:

Work closely with the Regional Director of Program Services, Manager of Client Information, and Human Resources to assure that the files of Direct Support Professionals and Clients are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and LEL's Policies and Procedures Manual.

Work closely with the Individualized Support Team (IST) in assessing the Clients risks and assuring a plan is in place to address the Clients identified risks.

Process quality assurance, complaint, incident and change of status reports and notify the appropriate parties with the reports.

Prepare, investigate and submit all Incident Reports for their assigned caseload.

Work with clients IST to prepare all clients goals.

Ensure that each of the following is reviewed and agreed upon by the IST at each quarterly meeting:

The appropriateness of services;

Risk assessments and the current risk plans;

The appropriateness of ISP goals;

Progress towards ISP/PCP goals;

The appropriateness of current medication as well as compliance;

Recent and upcoming medical appointments;

Health and safety of the Client;

Environmental assessment is updated every 60 days.

Review and ensure that all documentation required by applicable law and the LEL Maintenance of a LEL Client's Personal File Policy is maintained in the Client's Blue Book and copies are forwarded to the central office for the master file.

Provides direct care and support if no DSP or natural supports are immediately available.


Provide other services as directed by LEL.

Qualifications:

Manager of Program Services must have an Bachelors Degree in Human Services with two years of related work experience.

Minimum of two years management experience.

Each Manager of Program Services must meet state criteria and is also a QA coordinator.

Experience and skills necessary to perform the services listed above.

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Customer service orientated.

Satisfies all requirements under applicable law.

A positive and pleasant attitude.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving skills.


Excellent written and oral communication skills.

2.Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to (i) an office environment in which the noise level is usually low to moderate (ii) outside weather conditions and (iii) Client residences in which the noise levels are usually moderate.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, communications, business administration, public relations or a related field, plus five (5) years of marketing, communications or community outreach experience to include one (1) year of direct supervisory experience. Experience working with homeless programs preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire. May be required to work nights and weekends on occasion. Preferred Knowledge * Operational characteristics, services and activities of homeless programs * Principles of code enforcement and zoning * Principles of environmental health programs * Services available in the community for people experiencing homelessness and/or people with behavioral health challenges * Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations Preferred Skills & Abilities * Interact respectfully with people experiencing homelessness * Serve as the point of contact for 311, the Office of the Mayor, Albuquerque Police Department, City Council and other City Departments that receive reports from constituents regarding homeless encampments * Monitor the City of Albuquerque's homeless encampment app * Conduct an initial in-person assessment of homeless encampments that are reported, including an assessment of encampment conditions * Coordinate activities and programs with outside agencies and divisions * Analyze and assess programs, policies and operational needs and make appropriate adjustments * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work such as APD area commands and City of Albuquerque departments (including but not limited to the Planning Department, Solid Waste Department, Family and Community Services Department, Parks and Recreation Department, Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire and Rescue * Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation City Of Albuquerque, NM Albuquerque NM
