Position: Manager of Outreach & Enrollment

Salary: $59,829 - $85,443

Location: This position spends time at IPS campuses and community locations throughout the week to support ongoing outreach and enrollment efforts with some weekends and evenings

Job Type: Full-time. Weekends and evenings are regularly needed with flex time to compensate)

Who We Are

Essential Functions of the Manager of Outreach & Enrollment

  • Recruitment and Enrollment: Implements recruitment strategy plans and meets goals informed by data, in order to respond to community and school needs. Cultivate and manage a "warm" waitlist through strong communication and data-entry, ensuring full enrollment day 1 and month 1 of school. Support in the preparations and execution of an annual lottery and related compliance. Lead all canvassing, tabling, and other recruitment efforts. Serve as key tour contact for prospective families.

  • Student Record Management: Support the completion of enrollment paperwork under the direction of the Director of School Operations and alongside the School Manager. Supports include - following-up on missing pieces to ensure 100% paperwork compliance by day one of school, meeting with families at the school site to complete enrollment, and supporting school-based enrollment events. Detail orientation, strong follow up, and fidelity to systems is a required skill.

  • Community Outreach: Cultivate and maintain a network of community relationships through regular meetings and communication to provide a pipeline to IPS enrollment as a result of intentional coaching and support from team leaders. Coordinate and execute home visits for prospective families. Leverage all community partners to identify and recruit students and ensure IPS visibility as an educational option.

  • Marketing Management: Manage information sessions, including facility reservations, information session follow-up and family support set-up (e.g. supplies, paperwork, food, etc). In partnership with team leaders, review marketing materials and share recommendations on improvements for community-facing marketing materials.

  • Resource and Vendor Management: Under guidance from the school leadership team, manage and coordinate resources to be within budget. This includes ordering materials, managing scheduling and accountability of independent contractors, and allocating resources throughout the year.

  • Family Resources and Community Partners: If all enrollment goals are met, build-on an active list of wrap-around family services to support our mission of preparing the next generation of equity-driven leaders. Additionally, maintain and build-on an active list of community partners to aid and support in outreach for future scholars to enroll in future school years.

Educational Background, Experience & Additional Requirements:

  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with families, community, and team members

  • Personal and professional experience in and around the Puget Sound area

  • Previous start-up experience is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft and Google Suite programs to support continuous updates to key technology and data systems that support and report on our team's ongoing work

  • Prior to the start date of employment all employees need to obtain clearance on a criminal justice fingerprint and background check.

  • Prior to being made an offer, the hiring manager will ask candidates to complete a character and fitness form from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction."
