Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Marketing Communications, the Manager of Marketing Communications creates and produces content for integrated marketing communications materials and products; serves as a project lead to ensure smooth and strategic planning around major organizational events and programs; and cultivates media relationships and arranges coverage of select events and programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help craft the brand story and articulate across multiple constituencies and media.
Serve as project lead on various marketing communications projectspartnering with "clients" from other areas of the organization to inform strategy, develop content and ensure smooth project management around events and programs.
Develop content for institutional messaging and outreach for the gamut of communications purposes and through all JUF media channels, including the conception and creation of integrated marketing communications (video scripts, scripts and presentations for key leadership, press releases, email solicitations).
Generate media coverage for the organization's events, programs, issues, speakers and lay leaders focusing on "Society" pages, features, blogs, and JUF online photo galleries. Develops and maintains strong media relationships and helps create media strategy to provide ongoing pitching opportunities for organization.
Strategize ways to maximize use of digital and social media to ensure strong institutional branding and messaging in event-related and other integrated marketing communications opportunities.
Directly supports JUF campaign integration on an ongoing basis in addition to mandatory campaign-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
B.A. degree from an accredited institution with a major in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field required
5-10 years' experience in Public Relations/Marketing Communications at a corporation, agency, or non-profit
Knowledge of Jewish issues and Israel
Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
A great attitude and a desire to effect change
