Manager of Infrastructure & Security

Position Overview:

Responsible for hands-on management of all I.T. infrastructure and security, including telecommunication, networking, servers, audio/visual, and client computing. Recommends, implements, and supports technologies that facilitate reliable and efficient global communication, collaboration, and security.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage all IT Infrastructure including network devices, servers, data storage, client computing devices, and data centers across all ODL locations.

  • Ensure our systems and data are secure. Perform and monitor backups of all systems and provide data recovery services.

  • Manage all telephony devices and systems including analog and digital phone systems, desktop phones, soft phones, and mobile phones. Ensure that we take full advantage of collaborative applications across all these devices.

  • Manage collaboration software services and systems. Systems include O365 email, file sharing, web conferencing, instant messaging, and web 2.0 applications.

  • Manage external partners including ODL's Managed Service Providers support collaborative applications, telecommunications, network/server infrastructure, data center, audio/video, and client device services.

  • Manage internal people providing these services.

  • Manage desktop audio/video conferencing solutions. Provide ability to record sessions for posting on a secure web site.

  • Manage desktop client replacement process. This includes ordering new equipment, installing software applications, and deploying to the user.

  • Manage help desk services. Ensure provision of responsive, friendly, informative, and stellar customer service.

  • Establish service level agreements for the various application systems and measure performance against these agreements. Report performance monthly.

  • Establish international communication standards for mobile phone and data services. Provide detailed documentation for travelers to minimize cost for services.

  • Provide A/V support for company meetings. This may include live video streaming and/or posting of meeting contents to a secure web site.

  • Recommend and implement A/V solutions for conference rooms. These systems will support audio, video, and web conferencing applications.

  • Research new collaborative technologies to continually improve our communication applications and systems.

  • Provide user training and/or manage partners to train on the various collaborative applications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology or Computer Science, with 5 years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in both Audio Visual and IT Systems is essential.

  • Experience with mobile desktop services.

  • People oriented with a strong service attitude.

  • Good verbal and writing skills.

  • Highly motivated; creative problem solver.

  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and make decisions.

  • Team player; ability to manage project tasks and deadlines working with internal departments in conjunction with external resources.

  • Openness to overtime, occasional weekend work and occasional overnight travel.
