Job Description:
Under the leadership of the department Director, the Manager of IT Infrastructure Architecture is responsible for using Architecture framework and guidelines based on best practices to build new IT systems; implement innovative solutions and tools to streamline IT processes; and maintain and support server and endpoint devices to enable end users to deliver better healthcare.
Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with Enterprise goals and objectives.
Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Systems Architects, and Application development teams.
Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Conduct research on emerging and innovative technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility and agility
Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
Document the Enterprise's existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
Review new and existing systems design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans.
Supervising a single unit of the company, responsible for managing various individual facets of Healthcare IT (HIT) Upholding the loyalty and privacy of Montage Health and designing and maintaining the same, as and when needed.
Comprehending the business requirements of Montage Health and the active and present IT delivery status to initiate and promote effective innovative solutions.
Supervising and administering the technology Architects, Engineers, Administrators, and Support Specialists of the company working under him/her.
Collaborating with the innovative and creative vendors/third parties and documenting, creating, executing, putting and enforcing innovative undertakings and workings to achieve the business requirements.
Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Determining required team resources
Managing team staffing
Manages, supports, and empowers a quality team of HIT Professionals
Acts as a coach and positive role model for staff by establishing & maintaining a safe work environment that fosters positive morale
Appropriately monitors and addresses staff performance issues, applying constructive, corrective or disciplinary action when needed
Effectively manages staff in compliance with established policies, procedures and legal guidelines
Works closely with senior management, stakeholders and HIT staff to determine strategy & priorities and to ensure the team is meeting business needs
Builds and maintains relationships with Montage leaders, external organizations, and vendors
Leads or participates in technology related teams, workgroups and committees as needed
Engages in strong problem solving and optimization with all necessary stakeholders utilizing best practice methodologies
Evaluates factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and social impact when developing and implementing applications and or support services
Promotes the understanding and effective use of information technology
Must be proactive in identifying critical business, technical, and/or operational issues and then drive issues to closure
HIT Division responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining focus on customer service and responsiveness
Excellent communication both written and verbal Troubleshoot technical problems
Master HIT tools, applications, and processes
Maintain fluency in HIT and industry best practices, tools, applications, and processes
Follow departmental and organizational policies and procedures

Healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Knowledge of hospital operations
IT issue tracking software or "ticketing" systems e.g. ServiceNow
Office 365
Preferred Experience:
Demonstrated experience in…
Windows or Linux server administration
TOGAF or any other EA framework
Drafting and creating policy/procedures related to change management implementation.
Change management and Change Control
ITIL practices
Doing all other remaining jobs and duties of a manager in the company that lie in his/her area of supervision and jurisdiction and that require his/her knowledge and skills
Required Education:
Bachelor Degree in Education, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Informatics or related field.
Enterprise Architecture Framework Certification (TOGAF, EA3, Zackman, DOD etc.) (may be earned within the first 6 months of employment)
