Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) seeks one Manager of Data Analytics (HOU job# 185-2020) for its Houston Branch Office

LSLA is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit law firm and its mission is to protect and advance the civil rights of low-income Texans by providing advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensure equal access to justice.

Summary of Responsibilities

Director of Data Management and Analytics will be responsible for overseeing LSLAs Data Department to ensure the needs of any internal and/or external requests for information to be derived from LSLAs data sources or otherwise are processed, executed, and delivered in a timely and orderly manner. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring the flow of information from LSLAs data department adheres to the data policies, standards, and procedures of all entities involved.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree (prefer Masters of Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, etc); Exceptional and innovative prior experience in data governance required: data analytics, data mining, big data, data quality/quality control, and etc. Strong background in administrative and management skills as well SQL, essential Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, and etc), and all others necessary for implementing day to day operations. Familiarity with Case Management Systems for legal firms, Timekeeping/Payroll System, and any other systems in which law firms and non-profits gathers and/or stores data. Experience with NPOs and grant governance highly desirable.

Exceptional analytical, technical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong commitment to LSLAs mission to ensure equal justice. Proven ability to collaborate with a team, represent LSLA to a rich diversity of people, communities, and institutions as well as to quickly understand and develop creative solutions to complex problems while under tight deadlines.
