Provide global market analysis and negotiation support to Abbott Nutrition (AN) Purchasing and Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) organizations. This position must stay well versed on macro & micro economic trends and their impact on material costs. Key functions include:

  • Establish critical financial targets for commodity pricing & Purchase Price Variance (PPV) performance.

  • Provide analytical support for corporate financial cycles as well as adhoc analysis for new manufacturing sites, commercial pricing strategies, contract negotiations and other requests from all levels of the organization.

  • Accurately forecast price trends and proactively communicate impact. This would include but not limited to formal market updates highlighting trends, key drivers, current prices and any material shifts in the market outlook.

  • Position will participate in critical supplier negotiations and meetings.


Position is fully accountable for all market analytics tied to assigned category. These market analytics

help form the baseline foundation of the Abbott Nutrition (AN) financial and strategic plans, as well as AN's position in negotiations, a deep understanding of the economic environment, and short and long-term industry trends.

Data accuracy and integrity are key, as these forecasts are used to measure and project AN's financial risk /exposure / opportunity for short and long-term decisions.

  • Market Consensus Models are used to calculate a long term expected price curve for a given commodity, based on trends in underlying cost drivers (Raw Materials, Energy, Labor, Inflation, Processing, Profit Margin, Freight). They can indicate how "fair" are current contract price offers and identify need for long or short strategic moves to protect AN from volatility.

  • Cost Modeling support of individual contract negotiations and analyze the differences and similarities between suppliers within the same market.

Analyze value / risk of different contract price models and strategies, and recommends optimal contract structure given global and regional variables. Position will advise if it is it in AN's best interests to secure a long-term or short-term fixed price, execute a financial hedge, etc.

  • The incumbent needs to have a sound understanding of the global economic landscape and the implications of changes (both planned & unplanned).

  • Position participates / presents market positions and/or price models, in key supplier negotiations.

  • May perform other duties as assigned

The leader is responsible to create and implement methodologies to improve the client and staff experience by maximizing the amount of therapy received through schedules according to their agreed upon therapy hours and availability. Sets goals, priorities, and performance standards for centralized scheduling. Coaches, leads, and directs work flow of Scheduling Team, assisting in scheduling efforts as needed. This position collaborates with Clinical Directors, Senior Therapists, Intake Coordinators and Talent Acquisition Team to identify therapy staff needs and fulfill scheduling requirements. Strong customer service skills to create and sustain positive relationships with client families and clinical leaders throughout the course of treatment. Responsibilities Customer/Client Service: Supports the Mission and Values of Caravel Autism Health. Creates and develops systems that enable the Client Care Coordinators to efficiently and reliably determine availability and client-staff fit. Ensures that schedules meet client and staff needs for appropriate matching, team size and continuity across all markets. Manages the allocation of workload among Client Care Coordinators. Advises and provides oversight for escalated customer service issues using superior interpersonal skills, empathy and problem-solving abilities. Promotes the building of personal relationships between Client Care Coordinators and staff that foster loyalty and flexibility. Develops and maintains metrics to measure the quality and efficiency of the scheduling process; develops strategies to improve processes in support of the Caravel Autism Health Balanced Scorecard. Collaborates with clinical leaders and talent acquisition team to problem solve scheduling issues. Implements scheduling best practices in new markets added by company acquisitions and service territory expansion. Provides additional support as a Client Care Coordinator as needed. Operations and General Administrative: Actively participate as a member of the Management team to address program policy and procedures, develop best practices, and improve service delivery. Continually assess operations and suggest improvements of operation. Contributes to long-term planning and project development to support mission of the company. Consistent and regular attendance is a requirement of the position. Expectations are for employee to work on average 40 hours per week or more in completing duties and responsibilities of the position. Leadership: Coaches, leads, mentors, hires, and develops cohesive team of Client Care Coordinators. Ensures that staff are meeting or exceeding performance standards. Proactively handles all employee relation issues within the team. Sets goals, priorities and performance standards for centralized scheduling performed by Client Care Coordinators. Directs Client Care Coordinators to ensure the department operates in an efficient manner and that the internal and external customers receive the highest quality customer service. Instills customer service focus that meets and/or exceeds internal and external customer needs. Provides developmental opportunities and cross training for staff. Trains staff on appropriate procedures, rules, and regulations on an ongoing basis.
