Job Summary:
We are currently looking to add to our team with an exciting opportunity as Manager of Consolidation Accounting. The Manager of Consolidation Accounting role is key to develop and maintain our accounting-related payroll processes that impact the timely and accurate preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, working closely with the Payroll and Consolidation teams to reconcile payroll liability and cash accounts, pursue variances and develop processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, as well as collaborate with our Payroll team to create a process for allocations of payroll expenses across cost centers.
The ideal candidate must be hands-on, have excellent organizational skillset and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are a relationship-oriented business, and strong relationship and partnering skills are vital to this role. Previous leadership experience in accounting for payroll transactions is required. Experience in the insurance brokerage or a related industry is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Consolidation Accounting and Payroll teams to ensure payroll liability and cash accounts are reconciled timely and address and resolve variances.
Develop accounting-related payroll processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, including accuracy and completeness of compensation, benefits and payroll tax expenses reported on the P&L.
Create process for allocations of payroll expenses across cost centers.
Regularly communicate and collaborate with specialist, peers, controllers and teams on best practices and standard work while escalating issues and concerns to appropriate management level.
Set clear deadlines and priorities for team to meet goals and expectations.
Work to solve problems brought to their attention.
Takes responsibility for outcomes and results.
Available and responsive to Acrisure Partner and internal staff questions.
Deliver sensitive messages with diplomacy and tact.
Build new relationships and maintain existing relationships with Acrisure personnel and Acrisure Partners.
Follow up on projects and team assignments and hold others accountable for their internal deadlines and administrative responsibilities.
Perform quality assurance reviews of team members' compliance with Acrisure's accounting policies and procedures.
Identify potential financial risks and raises these issues, along with suggested solutions, to manager.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, "best in class" service to ABS Accounting team members, leadership team and all staff.

Requirements:
Prior experience with accounting for payroll transactions and reconciliations required
Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience required.
Minimum (5) five years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis required.
Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background preferred.
Prior experience with accounting-related payroll responsibilities and related process improvements.
Prior experience with balance sheet reconciliations required.
Prior experience working with both the income statement and balance sheet required.
Prior variance analysis experience required.
Working knowledge of general ledger systems (Workday preferred)
Working knowledge of payroll systems (ADP preferred)
