Job Summary:

We are currently looking to add to our team with an exciting opportunity as Manager of Consolidation Accounting. The Manager of Consolidation Accounting role is key in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, working closely with the Sr. Manager of Consolidation Accounting to account for domestic results each month, including journal entries, explanation of key variances and balance sheet account reconciliations.

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Consolidation Accounting team members who are responsible for bank, vendor payables and other reconciliations as well as the maintenance of the monthly account certifications process for all ABS accounting teams. Oversight of this team includes assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the team, determining capacity constraints and hiring recommendations as needed, providing guidance and training to team members and annual performance reviews. This includes ensuring all duties of the team are completed accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate must be hands-on, have excellent organizational skillset and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are a relationship-oriented business, and strong relationship and partnering skills are vital to this role. Previous leadership experience in accounting for payroll transactions is required. Experience in the insurance brokerage or a related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of Consolidation accounting team members and team deliverables.

• Responsible for recording and approving journal entries, account analyses and reconciliations.

• Responsible for extending accounting support to Vendor Payables team to enhance processes and reconciliations.

• Set clear deadlines and priorities for team to meet goals and expectations.

• Work to solve problems brought to their attention.

• Takes responsibility for outcomes and results.

• Available and responsive to requests originating external to Consolidation Accounting team.

• Build and maintain relationships with Acrisure personnel and Acrisure Partners.

• Follow up on projects and team assignments and hold others accountable for their internal deadlines and administrative responsibilities.

• Perform quality assurance reviews of team members' compliance with Acrisure's accounting policies and procedures.

• Identify potential financial risks and raises these issues, along with suggested solutions, to manager.

• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, "best in class" service to ABS Accounting team members, leadership team and all staff.

• Prior leadership experience required.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent in education and experience required.

• Minimum (4) four years of experience in accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis required.

• Insurance brokerage/related industry accounting background preferred.

• Prior experience with balance sheet reconciliations required.

• Prior experience working with both the income statement and balance sheet required.

• Prior variance analysis experience required.

• A working knowledge of insurance-based management systems (i.e., AMS360, Epic, Applied TAM) is highly desired.

• Working knowledge of general ledger systems (Workday preferred).
