Manager of Batching Operations

The Manager of Batching Operations is responsible for supporting new or existing aseptic and non-aseptic manufacturing facilities from the time of handover from engineering to commercial production and then on-going production support. This position will take an active role to work with the Plant Director(s) to identify opportunities and be the project coordinator to support or to troubleshoot existing problem associated with batching and processing systems. This person may also assist in making recommendations with many cross-functional areas in aseptic/beverage manufacturing.

Essential Functions

  • Be the onsite point of contact for the PD to provide support, as the plant transitions from engineering to production. Work with various Plant and HQ teams to identify issues and areas of opportunity for improvement on batching and processing systems

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to commission new products, ensuring a seamless integration into existing processes.

  • Develop and implement protocols for testing and scaling up new products.

  • Develop effective and efficient working relationships with both internal teams and external partners, including all OEM's.

  • Collaborate with procurement teams on storage of raw ingredients, ensuring proper inventory levels while maintaining quality standards.

  • Set-up scorecards to evaluate liquid yield and loss, identify and prioritize areas of risk and opportunities, and provide solutions to the team.

  • Prepare and manage action items to coordinate OEM's and support teams for success.

  • Be an expert in aseptic/beverage operations, gaining a full understanding of all components in batching and processing.

  • Lead and mentor the batching teams to ensure efficient and accurate processes during new product commissioning.

  • Implement best practices for batch processing, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

  • Manage and mentor Team Members to successfully meet the Company's objectives, creating a competitive advantage and ensuring Team Members learn from your expertise.

  • Openly share findings and best practices to other aseptic and / or similar operations and cross-functional teams for improved performance.

  • Manage the creation and maintenance of product recipes, ensuring accuracy and consistency in batch rooms and thermal system6

  • Work closely with R&D to implement new recipes and product formulations.

  • Identify opportunities in maintaining world-class safety, quality, line performance and cost metrics.

  • Establish reports from existing systems to analyze operational and quality data to look at trends and proactively find/solve problems and make recommendations for improved operations.

  • Support teams to achieve goals for aseptic plant operations.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational effectiveness.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled audits of each operation to assess effectiveness and efficiency and work with the teams to improve deficient areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Open to travel up to 60% of the time to our aseptic plant operations.

Education

  • Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations or other discipline, or work experience equivalent, including field operations experience related field

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Salary

$113,528.00 - $164,616.00 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 10% Annual
