As the manager of Activities and Volunteer Services your responsibilities will include:

1.Provide oversight and implement comprehensive Activities Programing for assigned facilities

2.Development, implementation, and evaluation of daily group programs and individual treatment sessions

3.Development of monthly calendar of programs with resident input.

4.Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings to include: multidisciplinary team meetings, department meetings, family meetings, facility in-service education programs, Performance Improvement task groups and other facility meetings as specified by Executive Director.

5.Monitor recreation supplies; purchase supplies from community retailers, and/or make arrangements to maintain supply inventory as needed

6.Assist with organization of community events to include: special entertainment, community outings, and theme events as needed.

• Attendance at special events may be required in addition to regularly scheduled hours.

7.Maintain valid NYS driver license.

8.Assist in or conduct Therapeutic Recreation orientation with staff members and students from other disciplines. Assist all staff in carrying out scheduled programing

9.Manage transportation schedule and drivers

10. Coordinate campus volunteer program

Requirements:

Bachelor's in therapeutic recreation/related field is preferred.

At least one year experience working with the elderly population required

Pay Range:$21.50 - $28.35

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
