Manager Nursing, Emergency Services

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications :

• Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.

• Coursework/Training JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices:

• Maintains radiation safety training annually.

• Maintains conscious sedation education annually.

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing, for:

• Hospital/Clinic.

• Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.

• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

• Pediatric Emergency Department.

• Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.

• JACC, Within 2 years of employment.

• upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License.

• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

• upon hire: TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program).

• 3 years Professional nursing experience.

• 2 years Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree Nursing, for:

• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

• Pediatric Emergency Department.

• Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit.

• For Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research.

• upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice.

• upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association.

• upon hire: National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices).

• Supervisory/leadership experience.
