Job Purpose

To manage the regional operations of the Electric Learning & Development organization. The manager is responsible for managing and directing resources and processes associated with client learning needs, developing employee goals and objectives, approving and monitoring expenditures, enforcing safe operations, fostering cooperative working relationships with the client organizations, and assuring the development and delivery of effective, efficient, high quality training programs, courseware, and overall learning experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all aspects related to the delivery of technical training throughout New England to management and union personnel in Electric.

  • Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, procedures, and work standards for the department.

  • Drive consistency in developing, prioritizing, and delivering training programs and courseware.

  • Optimize cost, operational performance, risk, and safety performance of the department.

  • Develop and Monitor organizational performance metrics and make recommendations on improvement programs.

  • Work with other L&D departments to drive consistency at a department level to take advantage of economies of scale.

  • Support the HR leadership in establishing an organization that fully supports the L&D clients' strategic objectives.

  • Ensure the completion of Annual Learning Plans for Lines of Business

  • Manage scheduling, facilities, equipment, instructors, and students.

  • Ensure the effectiveness of training delivered.

  • Coordinate the continuous improvement process of modifying course content to maximize its impact.

  • Act as a strategic partner with key stakeholders throughout the Lines of Business for all of their learning needs.

  • Computer and web based skills

  • 5+ years supervisory / engineering / operations experience

  • Advanced education in Engineering, Education, or a related field is a plus

  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy

Job Summary The Enterprise Account Manager (EAM) is a commercial leader that's highly skilled in building long-term partnerships between Abbott and current/potential new customers. Position Impact to Business The Enterprise Account Manager deepens and broadens Abbott's relationship to key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. The role is instrumental in expanding brand reputation and delivery of sales and profitability objectives.
