Google Customer Solutions (GCS) sales teams are trusted advisors and sellers who maintain a relentless focus on customer success by bringing the best Google has to offer. The GCS Mid-Market Sales team is a growth engine for clients in GCS.

Through long-term relationship development, we are dedicated to understanding the business goals and dreams of this segment and providing the best Google advertising solutions to drive business success. We are responsible for growing advertising business growth by educating, promoting solutions, and consulting with clients directly.

With the growth of our GCS team, it's important to have leaders who are adept at guiding our client sales teams to success. As a sales manager, you are a thought leader with a strong in-market presence.

You will lead by example, coach a high-performing sales team, and set the standard for an exceptional customer-focused service and experience, while also working directly with senior-level executives to understand customer needs and to deliver high impact solutions. In addition, you'll use your insight to work effectively with leadership teams in setting strategic objectives and day-to-day operations for the business.

You'll enable the team to exceed strategic targets and OKRs, assisting them in managing portfolios of diverse businesses at various stages. Your knowledge of how Googles solutions can solve various clients' business challenges will be key to success. As such, you'll set the vision for how the team understands and transforms customers and the business.

Our teams of strategists, analysts, advisers and support specialists collaborate closely to spot and analyze customer needs and trends. In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in business management, project management, change management, and search/online advertising.

Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA degree.

Successfully own sales team operations: portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, execution.

Ability to model and coach sales behaviors: including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, competitive selling.

Ability to develop thought leadership abilities and industry expertise. Ability to influence executive stakeholders.

Ability to develop and deliver business strategies and relationships sustainable in the short- and long-term.

Manage and coach teams of account managers and account executives to deliver excellent performance; develop their digital marketing expertise and build productive client partnerships. Provide supportive and honest career evaluations; facilitate professional development plans.

Lead and actively engage in client relationships, pitches, and strategies.

Identify process improvement areas and solutions and share best practices across both Mid-Market and broader team.

Deliver against targets and activity for our clients' book of business, analyzing data, pipeline, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop strategic plans for customers.

Develop, execute and coach sales strategies that are tied to customer business models including E-commerce, Lead Generation, CPG and Multichannel.

Minimum qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience * 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media. * Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically. * Ability to travel 20% of the time as required. Preferred qualifications: * Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and competitive selling. * Expertise in launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns, particularly in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms. * Experience working with channel sales, advertisers, agencies, and/or clients and influencing C-level stakeholders. * Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and demonstrated ability to achieve quotas to drive growth. * Demonstrated ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy. * Deliver against assigned quota, while prioritizing and delivering outstanding customer business experience to Google's advertisers. * Implement creative ways to improve our Agency relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions, and promote other Google products. * Communicate with Agencies proactively, via phone and email. * Provide strategic advice and help Agencies get the best ROI on their clients' advertising investment by working closely with them in a consultative role.
