Manager, MICU Detroit, MI Summary: The MICU Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and assists with the organization, direction, management, and evaluation of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Reports to the Unit Director and assists with clinical, operational, and financial management of the assigned departments.
Assists with hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Assists with development of action plans, and may report outcomes to the Director, CNO, or others as applicable.
Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Promotes, supports, and facilitates the delivery of compassionate, evidence based nursing care to create an optimal patient experience.
Supervises the total nursing care of all patients on the assigned unit(s) and gives the appropriate direction to each staff member to provide quality patient care.
Oversees the unit(s) operation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care and to maximize patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
Evaluates personnel, assesses environment, and determines priorities for care in order to plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes of care.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Must have strong knowledge of all aspects of Nursing Services in the assigned departments as applicable.
Experience: 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience required 2-3 years progressive leadership experience required Education: Associates Degree or Nursing Degree from an approved Nursing School required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing highly preferred Masters Degree preferred Certifications / Licensure:
Current State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Registered Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) in Specialty preferred Special

Skills:
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to assess staff needs and develop objective goals.
Basic computer skills and ability to communicate utilizing computers.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise staff in a designated unit.

Current projects range from a 10M bank, 200M high school bond program, 20M multifamily, and a 100M manufacturing and distribution center. Looking for well-rounded and detail-oriented PMs who know all construction trades very well and have at least 5 years experience as a Lead PM on commercial type projects with a larger general contractor. These positions are full time traveling positions, meaning that PMs are expected to go from project to project as needed. The candidate must have the following skills: ? Ability to create and maintain a culture that values safety ? At least 5 years experience as a project manager on large scale vertical construction projects with a general contractor ?
