International Media Logistics (IML) prepares material for languaging and air in our international regions by ensuring the materials meet Discovery's standards of quality and then facilitating edits for the programs based on regional clocks and cultural sensitivities. In addition, IML provides fulfillment services as programs are sold to outside clients by Discovery Enterprises International.
Discovery Latin America Media Logistics (DLA-ML) prepares material for regional air through the coordination of delivery, technical evaluation, language customization and graphics customization.
The Manager position is responsible for working closely with the International Network Programming, Production and PMD groups to move quarterly premieres through the post production & languaging processes, as well as overseeing daily operations of the Media Logistics teams.
1.Act as key liaison for International Media Logistics with Network Programming, Production and PMD.2. Interact with International Media Logistics team & DLA Media Logistics team on a daily basis concerning the status of current projects and operations.3. Provide operational processes expertise to the networks as needed.4. Manage daily workloads and growth of direct and indirect reports.5. Communicate with networks regarding technical or content issues; provide possible options for resolution.6. Oversee maintenance of database systems (PDS, MediaFlex, SharePoint, etc.) and communicate status of shows to all departments.7. Communicate with multiple internal partners (Discovery Content Services, PMD, Business Affairs, etc.) on the status of, and requirements for all programs.8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Requirements* 5+ years' experience with post production, broadcast operations, and/or log operations highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in communications, television, film, media, logistics, or operations highly preferred.
Solid technical background with knowledge and understanding of multiple media platforms.
Strong working knowledge of post-production environment, standards, and equipment preferred.
Work experience within the media/tech industry preferred.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects and tasks.
Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively.
Experience with Microsoft Suite to include: Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
Occasional business travel may be required.
Experience leading an initiative or team as a manager or supervisor with the ability to mentor, develop, motivate, delegate, and initiate change
If internal candidate, experience using Discovery Internal Systems (i.e. MediaFlex) highly preferred.
