Jensen Hughes has an exciting new job opportunity for a Manager of Mechanical Engineering in our Mountlake Terrace (Seattle) office. The successful candidate joins our Forensics Division of JENSEN HUGHES, and joins a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and architects that consult on a wide variety of mechanical engineering issues including electromechanical devices or components, industrial controls/processes, HVAC/plumbing, and machine design issues. Forensic engineering is a fast-paced, dynamic, and fascinating industry. The ideal candidate has some direct experience in Forensics or a closely related industry.
Duties will include leading and managing staff (team of 5-7) engineers, while communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff. We are looking for an articulate, confident, and professional individual who has excellent writing and verbal communication skills and have previous experience managing a team of engineers. The individual in this position will also participate in business development and marketing activities. Manage laboratory facilities and processes. Communicates business priorities and goals as they relate to the work of his/her own organization and maintains alignment with the Jensen Hughes business strategy.
BS Degree in Engineering or higher. Masters or PHD with significant forensics experience is desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute Prior experience managing a team of others and multiple site activities Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience to include experience leading, managing and mentoring staff
Testifying experience and Forensics industry experienced highly desired.
PE Designation highly desirable
