CES has a growing project pipeline and we are looking to add an essential member to the Tampa, Florida or Valhalla, NY team. The Manager, Measurement & Verification (MV) is responsible for the planning of measurement and verification (M&V) approach and services from the initial development stages through performing the required services to fulfill the obligations of Energy Services Performance Contracts (ESPC). The MV manager will be leading and managing the efforts required to satisfy those requirements. The performance contract types include but are not limited to DOE IDIQ, UESC and state legislated ESPC. The MV manager will be involved in presenting to the customer the M&V options, providing the written M&V plan and budget to the development team and performing the M&V plan during and after construction for the term of the agreement.
Present M&V options to new and existing performance contracting customers.
Design programs to provide measurement and verification for performance contracting projects.
Manage deployment of energy monitoring systems into customers' facilities.
Evaluate, select and deploy new metering technology as it becomes available.
Interact with customers to obtain necessary information for projects and provide information on equipment being installed.
Work with contractors, project managers, and developers to solicit the required energy monitoring and M&V services (staff/outside services) to support energy conservation measures.
Develop proposals and budgets to support annual M&V activities.
Manage and track M&V activity for accountability of the team.
Generate and deliver M&V reports for the term of the contract; direct and guide support staff for the production of reports and compilation of data.
Identification of M&V option applications and technical development to meet customer objectives.
Selection of appropriate equipment and systems to meet the customer's financial and infrastructure needs.
Management and allocation of both internal and external resources to achieve proposal development goals and meet deadlines.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineering License a plus.
Seven plus years' experience of engineering experience including metering, M&V or instrumentation and control.
Project Management experience a plus.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively across organization boundaries.
Practice effective time management.
Skilled with M&V protocols.
Ability to perform system integration between measurement systems and software.
Ability to manage projects and interface with contractors.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Familiarity with construction bidding and costing.
Strong background in instrumentation, focusing on energy monitoring.
Knowledge of Energy Industry a plus.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of various metering and communications protocols a plus.
AutoCAD a plus.
Computer networking a plus.
Travel up to 35%.
