Please note: this position can be located in either Chaska, MN or Colorado Springs, CO.

The Materials Quality Engineering (MQE) Manager is a leadership role to support our North American manufacturing operations with a commitment to excellence and the energy to help develop a world-class Materials Quality organization. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage supplier risk, performance, and improvement to ensure the continuity of the Entegris supply chain and our customer's supply chain.

In this role, you will work with significant autonomy and independent judgment to achieve Global Materials Quality goals and Entegris corporate goals and lead continuous improvement projects with our critical/strategic suppliers. You will also work closely with Procurement, Operations, R&D and Customer Quality for internal and customer issue resolution. You will have the interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with both internal customers and our critical/strategic suppliers to enable more effective supplier management and improvement of supplier performance.

What you'll do:

• Be a subject matter and technical expert in the resin material category.

• Support new product development (NPD) by working closely with business units and suppliers.

• Drive technical improvements and own technical reviews when required, working closely with operations and engineering.

• Work closely with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Customer Quality for internal and customer issue resolution.

• Understand the supplier's processes and how the raw material has an impact on Entegris products and customers' applications.

• Drive advanced quality planning and process of record documentation with critical/strategic suppliers.

• Drive supplier quality management and material quality performance activities (SPC trend review, metrology, SCAR, supplier assessment, continuous improvement actions/projects, etc.)

• Train suppliers on key supplier expectations and requirements such as Change Control. Initiate, coordinate, drive, and own if required supplier change notifications through the Entegris internal change control system and supplier communication.

• Proactively assess supplier risk and plan for appropriate risk mitigation (business continuity planning) and working closely with Procurement.

• Lead the North American Materials Quality Engineering team and provide technical guidance or direction.

Outstanding candidates will have:

• 4 Year Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering/Material Science or Engineering

• MS and/or PhD preferred

• ASQ Certification or equivalent strongly desired but not required

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, total travel up to 25%

• Experience with Six Sigma, Statistical Process Controls, FMEA, process audits, and other proactive quality management practices; strong project management and leadership skills with an ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments such as R&D, Product Management, and Process Engineering; strong Microsoft Office and ERP systems skills (SAP desired)

• Six Sigma Black and Lean Manufacturing certification or experience desirable

• Ability to work independently and have strong organizational skills

• Ability to collaborate with cross functional departments
