Summary of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Chief Administrative officer; this position is responsible for managing the Materials Management section of Engineering and Operations, which supports the maintenance of critical systems and building components for the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are vital to the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, students and employees.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School + 10 years of warehouse/stockroom experience to include supervisory/leadership experience
Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
Valid driver's license with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle record
Hazardous material training (at time of hire or within 6 months of hire): CFR 29 -1910.120(q)(6)(iii) Hazardous Materials Technician (HAZWOPER) 24 hour initial training with 8 hour annual refresher training; 49 CFR 172.700-704 DOT hazmat transportation training; RCRA in accordance with Regulation 23 from ADEQ
Proficient in MS Office Products
Workday or comparable ERP system experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Computer program proficiency level: Intermediate

The Manager will lead and direct a team of 4 dedicated to accurate and timely processing of purchase requisitions, including obtaining quotes, bids and contracts as required.
Manager will establish and maintain procedures, monitor prices and maintain relationships with Suppliers.
Position is also responsible for working with Engineering and operations leadership to insure the Wearhouse inventory is adequately maintained in terms of the type and quantity of products are available to support the facilities management.
The Materials Manager will be assisting with Occupational Health and Safety processes as it relates to certain waste disposal items.
