The Opportunity
Reporting to VP, Communications and Development, the Manager, Marketing and Communications is an exciting opportunity to help build the Marketing, Communications and Development programs at Hively.
What you will do:
Play a key role in forming the first Communications, Marketing and Development department in the organization
Lead and execute integrated marketing communications strategy in collaboration with team members
Work cross functionally with programs teams to increase brand awareness and visibility, events and partnerships
Partner closely with Senior Communications Coordinator to elevate presence in social media channels
Act as a creativity agent with internal and external stakeholders, providing ideas and solutions to communications and marketing needs and opportunities
Manage, Execute and support department's projects and organizational initiatives with an eye on impact, results, learning and growth
Support internal communications needs
Events assistance and coordination in Alameda County as needed
Be part of grants research and applications efforts on behalf of the organization
What you should bring:
Bachelor degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
Mission-driven marketer
Outstanding writing, speaking and relationship building skills
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy and execution and media outreach
1+ year of management experience
Knowledge of CRMs (SalesForce, Constant Contact) and social media content management platforms
Knowledgeable in content marketing willing to experiment, try new ideas out to connect and engage with different audiences
Experience working with underserved and underrepresented communities
Understanding and experience working with traditional media and influencers
Bilingual in English and at least one of the following languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu or Farsi. Able to write, read and speak both languages fluently

$80,000 - $85,000 a year
Salary ranges are based on industry data, and final employment offer will be determined based upon factors including but not limited to an applicant's experience, specialized skills, and internal alignment.
