General Summary:

The Market Asset Protection Manager

  • PacNw/NorCal (MAPM) is responsible for protecting the assets of DSW, helping to maintain a safe business environment and monitoring and enforcing associate compliance to Company policies and rules of conduct. The MAPM will be responsible for promoting shrink prevention and operational excellence through AP Assessments, trainings, store visits, and team calls. Achieves assigned market shrink goals and objectives through the established awareness programs, in concert with store management as well as market and regional management. The MAPM will demonstrate behaviors that align with the company values

Reports to: RAPM West

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with Market Leaders, Regional Directors, and Cross Functional partners to champion shrink reduction within assigned areas.

  • Complete AP Store Assessments and store visits focused on operations and engagement.

  • Implements/executes company Store/Shrink Improvement Plans, reviewing operational deficiencies with RAPM/ ML/ Store Managers

  • Assists with the training and on-boarding of store leadership on AP standards, company policies, safety, theft deterrence and shortage awareness.

  • Serve as support to store and market management to ensure safe working and shopping environments for both associates and customers

  • Participates in regional, market, and store meetings, trainings, conference calls, store visits with ML's and RAPM's in assigned areas.

  • Participates in new store openings through shrink/safety training and physical security execution

  • Supports the physical inventory process with preparation and execution.

  • Coordinates, investigates, and resolves internal/ external/ Organized Retail Crime in according with law and company policy utilizing:

  • Exception Based Reporting (EBR)

  • Remote CCTV

  • AP Hotline Tips

  • Interviewing Skills

  • Networking with other retailers and law enforcement.

  • Ability to analyze inventory/sales reporting and make recommendations to improve performance.

  • Must be proficient in the use and understanding of exception based reporting and case management tools; Agilence, APPRISS, and Think LP preferred.

  • Must be able to stand/walk sales floor for entire shift.

  • Possess general operating knowledge of retail security equipment including alarms, CCTV, EAS/RFID.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends appropriate to retail business needs.

  • Some overnight travel required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Multi-Unit Loss Prevention Management Experience, specialty retail preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • LPC, LPQ, CFI preferred

The estimated pay range for this position is $91,000 to $114,000.

The successful candidate's actual pay rate offer will take into account a wide range of job-related factors including skill sets, years and nature of relevant experience, training, pay rates of associates in similar positions, the candidate's location, and other organizational needs. The estimated pay range has been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid or unpaid time off work, and/or retirement benefits, unless required by law.
