Summary:

The Manager, Manufacturing Plant I is responsible for leading the Pine Grove Sink plant to include Management, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources and Finance

Job Description:

Strategy Development and Delivery

  • Build productive and constructive relationships with the global operations team and business units to deliver bottom line results for sinks.

  • Lead the development of a clear vision and strategy with the Pine Grove manufacturing organization, including the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Lead the optimization of the Pine Grove facility through collaboration with Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain and New Product Development.

Operational Metrics Achievement

  • Continue to establish a culture of world class environmental compliance, health and safety through the use of a behavior based safety system.

  • Establish a culture and process to facilitate and implement continuous quality, service and cost improvement.

  • Manage the plant manufacturing operations to ensure excellent quality and delivery performance.

  • Manage the plant financial performance, including the review and approval of monthly financial forecasts, quality forecasts and staffing levels.

  • Develop and analyze value stream maps in the plant, identify opportunities and eliminate non-value added to reduce year over year costs, increase flow and reduce lead-time.

  • Drive the identification and implementation of cost reductions and improvements.

Organizational Excellence

  • Develop the culture (people, skills, processes and systems) to create a sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Develop excellent communications with internal and external customers, associates and suppliers.

  • Serve as a principal communicator and coach responsible for career development, performance management and succession planning at Pine Grove.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing/production management is required; experience in mechanical power press and robotic systems is preferred

  • Strong understanding and application of plant Employee Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements

  • Strong manufacturing background and experience in lean/six sigma techniques including: Inventory management, Kanban, Kaizen, cycle time reduction, flow manufacturing, process variation reduction, statistical methods, etc.

  • Strong Project Management skills.

  • Exposure with managing a union environment and assisting with contract negotiations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead an organization and achieve excellent business results.

  • Strong business acumen and working knowledge of business operations.

  • Results-oriented with a commitment to safety, quality, service and customer satisfaction.

  • Strong analytical skills and timely decision making ability.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a distributed organization.

  • Proven leadership skills team building, collaborating, presentation skills, strategic and innovative thinker, self-starter with a high energy level.

Our Pine Grove facility develops and manufactures a wide array of products for the Company's Specialty Products Group. Job title: Plant Facilities Maintenance Engineer Position description: The primary responsibility is to coordinate, schedule and implement activities related to plant maintenance and building operations to increase operational efficiency through timely planning, scheduling and execution of planned preventative maintenance and project activities. Oversees staff in the coordination and scheduling of work orders and preventative maintenance activities. Analyzes equipment issues and/or failures to determine root cause and identifies changes required to prevent recurrence. Specific duties: This includes capital projects requiring the design, construction, expansion and/or upgrades of new and existing facilities, equipment, power distribution, auxiliary process systems, and material handling systems to support our manufacturing operations. Serves as subject matter expert on the maintenance processes within the plant. Ensure prompt resolution of potentials hazards throughout the plant; report out on unsafe practices and provide immediate corrective action. Provide recommendations on facility improvements in order to meet or exceed goals and plans. Ensure operations are efficiently maintained by completing project functions on time and within or below budget. Manage and support engineering and maintenance staff; provide assistance and direction. Support the facilities processes of installation, startup, repair, training and modifications. Responsible for management of preventative maintenance of production machinery and facilities inspections. Reviews work orders and provides estimates and materials needed. Continuously provide recommendations and process improvements. Completes maintenance and repair records. Demonstrates knowledge of TS16949 processes and successfully completes required follow-up on non-conformities and corrective actions. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding. Main point of contact for outside contractors, oversees and inspects work performed by outside contractors. Responsible for quick response in emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Ability to communicate and present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
