Manager, Manufacturing Operations- Weekends
Operations Management Weekends (40%)
Provide supervisory support of all operations staff working on assigned workdays (Saturday through Sunday)
Generate and distribute weekend progress reports
Hands on, be a flex resource to assist with inspections and shipping as needed.
Handle first level escalations from Case Management, CPC, Eng/Sourcing, Additive, Shipping, Quality, etc.
Provide logistics management support as needed (creation of labels, tracking of packages, resolution of shipping exceptions)
Partner and Customer Focus
Manage and/or address customer and partner facing Support/Work tickets
Follow up with partners to drive accountability and completion of objectives
Communicate updates / collaborate with customers to resolve order fulfillment issues
Lead weekend work scope planning activities (Fridays)
Lead weekend turnover activities (Mondays)
Establish, communicate, and gain acknowledgement on partner weekend objectives
Emerging and Late order partner escalation calls
Weekly report generation
Case Management duties appropriate to short duration activities (ie NCMR customer dispositions)
Teamwork, Collaboration, and Safety (10%)
Interface with Sr. Management, Operations, Sales, Technology, Customer Care, Quality, and Shipping teams to ensure manufacturing processes are capable of customer on-time delivery and satisfaction.
Effectively communicate with all key stakeholders, to include suppliers, customers, and leadership.
Participate and provide input on initiatives to simplify and automate complex processes.
Perform all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a Technical related field is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in manufacturing or operations
A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
Project management training or equivalent experience in a highly transactional environment
Working knowledge of and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes, engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
A self-starter, who work independently, and can drive actions to completion.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Able to multitask, meet deadlines and support all supplier quality field activities.
Strong communication skills (both oral and written) + ability to manage up and to the side.
