Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is a multifaceted role with responsibilities across both Manufacturing and the commercial enterprise. This position has primary responsibility for production planning with additional responsibilities in managing multiple inventories as well as interacting with customer service and sales.
What You Will Do
Oversee all aspects of the production planning process including antigens, plasma/serum, semi-finished and finished materials as applicable.
Act as the primary point of contact for the customer service and business development in relaying product availabilities and status updates.
Working with Manufacturing Execution and Quality Control, ensure all products are tested and/or delivered within stated lead times.
Manage team with primary responsibility for all bulk/custom orders as well as the management, testing and downstream prioritization of all polyclonal raw materials,
Track in process large and small animal projects for manufacturing and make changes due to shifting priorities.
Maintain ideal numbers of animals on-lease and available to ensure proper levels of plasma/serum materials for manufacturing
Maintain titer information on all big five animals and oversee pool and queue process.
Work with Manufacturing leadership on continuous improvement initiatives, new data tools and dashboards.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.

Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, Adobe, etc.
Preferred educational and experiential background:
Bachelor's or Advanced degree in relevant scientific field.
5+ years' experience in a related role - preferably in protein manufacturing.
Expert level knowledge of manufacturing and inventory management functions of SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
